Mark had left the Black Diamond Heavies a year earlier. He was living in Nashville and busking on Broadway. He had a couple gigs booked in at the Family Wash on Feb 4th and Feb 11th. I timed my trip to attend both these shows. This was the first time I saw him play solo.
